David Allen
Gorilla Evening Monitor

David's passion for animals began early in his childhood. It is this passion for the living world that has lead David to focus his academic and professional careers on wildlife and promoting related conservation efforts. David graduated from Prescott College in Northern Arizona, with a B.A. in Environmental Studies with an Emphasis in Natural History and Ecology and a minor in Outdoor Recreation. He also earned an A.A. degree in Wildlife Management from Feather River College in Quincy, California.

David has worked with a variety of exotic and domestic animals ranging from venomous snakes, crocodilians, and arachnids to a full assortment of farm animals. He also has worked with native wildlife throughout California and Arizona. His interest in Wildlife has taken him on many exciting adventures to distant countries around the world as well as remote regions of the United States.

Prior to joining The Gorilla Foundation, David worked in wildlife and land management, animal husbandry/breeding, naturalist programming, and landscape architecture. He hopes his varied background will allow him to provide meaningful contributions not only to Koko, Ndume, and the Gorilla Foundation, but to the conservation of all great apes.

David is very excited to be a part of the talented team that makes up The Gorilla Foundation and is excited to be working with the gorilla ambassadors Koko and Ndume.conservation.
