Both Max
(a Staffordshire Terrier) and young Rikki Power (who we're now
starting to think is either an Australian Kelpie or a Beauceron)
enjoy greeting the gorillas every morning with friendly barks
and playing "chase" with Ndume.
Rikki Power, who turns 6 months old on
Oct. 27, 2005, is maturing quite nicely and doing very well
in puppy school. The only problem is that she clearly has herding
in her blood and, well, have you ever tried to herd gorillas?
Rikki still
has a lot to learn before she can even think about filling in
for the late and beautiful Flower who
was chief gorilla protector and friend for over a decade.
