This footage shows the three gorillas we had the privilege of caring for โ Koko, Michael, and Ndume โ enjoying time outdoors in their own unique ways.
Koko swings playfully on a firehose. Michael munches on a branch with calm focus. Ndume sits in the grass beside his treasured blue barrel and then enjoys an orange peel.
These behaviors may look simple, but they reflect something deeper โ mood, personality, and individual experience.
Like us, gorillas have emotional lives that shape how they move through their day โ and they require autonomy, companionship, and nature in order to thrive!
