Dear Friend,
When Koko was three years old, her world was full of discovery. In this weekโs video (above) youโll see her at her new home on the Stanford campus, perched on top of a large box labeled Space Capsule. With my encouragement, she opens the box, climbs inside the new toy, and explores every inch with curiosity and focus.
For Koko, play was a way of learning and problem-solving, a form of exploration that connected her to all young beings. Watching her investigate the bright red capsule reminds me how much curiosity drives growth, understanding, and joy.
Koko boldly went where no gorilla had gone before โ and her journey taught us how to save her species.
Gorillas share our capacity for wonder, and they too deserve safe places to explore and thrive. Through your support, The Gorilla Foundation continues to protect gorillas and inspire compassion through Kokoโs story.
Thank you for being part of this mission.
With Koko-Love,
