Dear Friend of Koko,

I'm happy to be able to announce the completion of a prototype version of Kids4Koko, our new web app where kids can come and learn to talk with the animals—starting with gorillas like Koko—and develop an appreciation for other intelligent species (especially endangered species, like gorillas) and a sense of responsibility to protect our shared environment: Nature.

Nature is in crisis! We see it all around us. And because we are part of Nature and a highly intelligent species, it is our crisis to solve. Koko would ask us to act if she were here. Now, through Kids4Koko, her voice ("The Voice of Nature") will speak to and inspire children around the world to embrace their kinship with all life, and be her "Voice for Nature." This is Koko’s enduring legacy.

Through the Kids4Koko web app, kids will be able to learn sign language from Koko, paint (without inhibition) like Koko, read about Koko's life, through two very powerful books that will also expand their sign language vocabulary — and kids will learn about gorillas both as a species and as individuals with unique personalities, and develop strategies to protect them from extinction and improve their lives in captivity (through communication).

Our goal is to make Kids4Koko a global network where kids can share knowledge, ideas, Koko signs and Koko-inspired creations with their friends and families — and with other Kids4Koko members around the world, and thus influence the way gorillas and other endangered species are appreciated and treated, branching out to encompass all of Nature.

We've made a great start, thanks to your previous support. But we need your help now to expand and update Kids4Koko with the most powerful content — drawing on 50 years of unique interspecies communication research breakthroughs by The Gorilla Foundation.

Please donate today to help us take Kids4Koko to the next level, and receive a private link to the Kids4Koko prototype, where you can enjoy an exclusive preview of it's capabilities, and send us your feedback to inform and enrich future versions.

Thank you for supporting the development of the Kids4Koko web app, the many kids who will use it to become voices for Nature (and our future leaders), and the greater vision (and our mission) of conservation through communication, which is the basis for Kids4Koko. We all appreciate uplifting content these days, and thanks to Koko, it's now at your fingertips.

Sincerely,

Penny and Koko
