Thank you for being a fan of the gorilla Koko. I’m reaching out to you today to tell you about our newest venture called Kids4Koko, and to ask you to take our survey to help us promote it. We’re not asking for funds, although we always appreciate your support.
Koko was known worldwide for having learned over a thousand signs, and for her unconditional love (especially for kittens). She passed away in June 2018, just 2 weeks before her 47th birthday.
We are currently developing Kids4Koko, a new program inspired by Koko and her loving legacy to reach thousands of children and families around the world. The mission of Kids4Koko is to support families and educators and inspire and inform a new generation of conservationists. We invite you to watch this video:
The lessons we’ve learned from Koko must never be forgotten — that we can save our fellow, critically-endangered great ape species primarilly through communication — interspecies communication — and The Gorilla Foundation is here to make that a reality!
We'd like to ask you a few questionsas we develop Kids4Koko. Can you spare five minutes?
Thank you for helping kids feel the power and empathy of interspecies communication — a vital pathway that helps us appreciate and protect our vanishing species and Nature.
All my best,
Penny Patterson, Ph.D.
