Dear Friend,
Please watch the following video to learn about our new partnership with the Buddhist Tzu Chi (Compassionate Relief) Foundation, now helping us reach children around the world with our "Kids4Koko" program to teach interspecies communication as a tool for great ape conservation and co-existence with Nature — Koko's Legacy!

The Tzu Chi Foundation has challenged The Gorilla Foundation's supporters to match a $20,000 annual gift. Your tax-deductible contribution today—of any amount—will be DOUBLED to expand Koko's positive influence with kids around the world!
As you can see from the above video, The Tzu Chi Foundation's mission (compassionate relief) is closely aligned with our mission (conservation through communication) and our shared focus for this year is to improve the way humans "Co-Exist with Nature" with mutual benefits for all species and the planet!
Your donation will enable us to:
1) Add powerful content to our Kids4Koko website — to learn more signs, read more books, watch more videos, to better understand our fellow great apes, and find ways to help them by applying interspecies communication.
2) Distribute this content worldwide, with the help of Tzu Chi and other partners, and through the development of a Kids4Koko phone app that will allow more kids (and great ape caregivers) to participate in both interspecies communication and conservation.
3) Continue our research into the minds of our fellow great apes, employing 5 decades of multimedia data, and recruiting kids of all ages to help interpret this data (as well as to translate more gorilla natural gestures) via the Kids4Koko app.
One of the most important things I've learned from Koko is that "all gorillas are Koko" — in other words, they all have the capacity to communicate with us, and by doing so they help us understand their needs and wants, as well as what it takes to live "sustainably" with the natural world and with each other.
This is Koko's gift to us. Help us pay it forward!
