Thanks to donors like you, as of March 11, 2022, we have already raised several thousand dollars for the Kyiv Zoo, which (at $500/day total) should be enough to feed all the animals there, including Toni (their sole gorilla) for at least another week.
We would like to be able to provide them with at least another full month of food (about $15,000) to help weather the storm until an evacuation solution can be implemented (at least for the most sensitive animals, such as the gorilla and elephant).
All funds are being collected by the European Association of Zoos & Aquaria (EAZA), on their website, via a special page dedicated to providing relieve to Ukraine's zoos. We are just facilitating the process by appealing to The Gorilla Foundation's members and subscribers, inspired by Koko's unconditional love of all animals (including humans), to make it possible for EAZA to fully support this Ukrainian zoo!

4) Enter the amount you wish to donate (for example, a $25 donation will feed an animal like Toni, for approximately one week; while $500 will feed all of the animalls for a day), and:
