Koko in the Greenery

Koko sits in the yard surrounded by greenery keeping an eye on Ndume (not shown). Many of the plants growing in the gorilla”s yard are edible. The leafy greens directly in front of her contain oxalic acid, so unless cooked, she does not touch them.
