Privacy, Security, Usage & Fundraising Policies

The Gorilla Foundation has a firm commitment to data privacy,  security, and responsible content usage, particularly as it relates to visitors to Koko.org, our web site.

Privacy

The Gorilla Foundation does not sell, rent, or exchange any personal information collected or gathered online about our site visitors. Our site does send e-mail, but only to those visitors who have explicitly “opted in” to receive e-mail information. We do not share the email addresses of such opt-in email subscribers, or of shoppers, members or donors, with other organizations or individuals.

Koko.org may use “cookies” for the convenience of our site visitors and members for the purpose of “shopping carts” used by our e-commerce components. Our web site does not track individual user’s visits, but it does examine user data in aggregate in order to facilitate the site visitor’s online experience and to improve the quality of our content and communication with the public.

These policies do not extend to external commercial e-commerce Affiliate sites linked to our online store (KokoMart) or other non-Koko.org web site content. Please check with these companies and sites for their policies regarding data privacy.

Security

The Gorilla Foundation takes the confidentiality of your information very seriously. For this reason, we use the highest level of security that technology provides when dealing with your credit card information. To guard against fraud, your information is securely encrypted and automatically passed directly to the financial network for processing. At no time is this information made available to anyone else.
