Ndume was unable to reach the hanging browse bag from the ground so he climbed the habitat mesh and used his long reach. Compared to humans, gorillas have very long arms. When standing, Ndume is about 5’6″ tall and one of his caregivers is 6’3″, yet they both have the same reach.
