Each morning one of the caregivers will place small tubs in a straight line then place a nut under three of the six. A colored symbol will be placed on the tubs that have nuts. This is a study to find out if the gorillas will eventually turn over only the tubs with a symbol and to make the connection between the symbols and the nuts.
