Even though he is facing the photographer straight on, Ndume will look in another direction.Though some captive gorillas will look humans in the eye, it is known as aggressive behavior to make eye contact with gorillas. A consistent rule while observing gorillas in the wild is never look them in the eye, especially the silverback.
