As you can see, Koko is sitting in the tall grass. After the cold winter passes, the grass in the gorilla habitat grows very high. This gives the habitat a lush appearance but also, caregivers have more places to hide browse. When it is hidden, Koko and Ndume are more active foraging for browse.
