Now that Koko”s got a clean bill of health and fertility, she”s more eager than ever to have a baby. Whether this is with Ndume or via adoption, we know that Koko will be a good mother – just from the way she treats (and signs to) her baby dolls. Note, however, that she only shows her “ape” dolls how to sign (by molding), which implies a high probability that Koko will transmit her language skills to the next generation!
