She is especially happy now that our new Director of Gorilla Care and Conservation, Chris Mitchell, has finally arrived and swept up everyone in a rising new wave of team spirit and positive, can-do vision. This could mean very good things for great apes, both in captivity and free-living, as Koko begins her second term as ambassador for her species, a role she is uniquely prepared for.
