Here”s looking at you, Koko

Koko”s just taking a break and hanging out on the jungle gym. Seemed like a good time to get a close up of one of the world”s most relaxed gorillas. Wonder if being able to share her thoughts and feelings via sign language with people who really care accounts for a small part of her serene demeanor – the rest may be attributed to the fact that it’s really early in the morning for Koko, it happens to be her birthday (finally arrived) and gorillas are just inherently serene.
