Ndume knows his birthday is coming …

Ndume seems to be contemplating a sock in the outdoor yard. Yes the “stocking” is symbolic that his birthday celebration is coming up (Oct. 10), and yes, Ndume is well aware that his birthday is next week. However, Ndume and Koko often enjoy socks and other items of knitted fabric for no reason at all other than that it enriches their existence. If only we could learn (again) to enjoy the simple pleasures (as we once did so naturally as children).
