Here Ndume is enjoying some browse (food) during his birthday celebration (Oct. 10) with a large “Happy Birthday Ndume” banner hanging in the foreground. Ndume was even more delighted this week, when several very gorilla-friendly workmen installed a new set of transfer chutes to connect the outdoor facility with a currently unused “gorilla bungalow” for him and Koko.
