Koko loves garlands of Hawiian flowers, commonly called “lei”s. Whether they”re composed of real flowers (which she often eats) or “fake” ones, she seems to appreciate their beauty and enjoys wearing them.
In this photo, she may be signing “good” in response to the lei in front of her, but it”s not possible to know for sure without examining a “video” version. This is why the Gorilla Foundation is dedicated to bringing you more video content, both for research and educational purposes in the near future.
