Rikki Power, who has been with the foundation for only a couple of years, is turning out to be a “gorilla’s best friend” as well as ours. She’s intelligent, fast, compassionate and everything a gorilla could want in an interspecies companion and security guard. And Rikki is also adapting well to the Gorilla Foundation’s ambience – mastering the “language board” and an array of spoken commands and gestures. This is not surprising, however, if you read recent books like “AnimalSign TO You (Imagine! Signing Is Not Just For Primates Anymore)” by Sean Senechal.
